Lee Cook and Tina Wood live in Boulder, Colorado. Lee actually grew up in
the Boulder County area, and Tina has lived here since 1972. They both feel
that Boulder holds a special energy.
The Arapahoe First Nations people called Boulder home long ago. It is
said that in one of the local lakes, there is an 800 foot high crystal
which was placed there in ancient times. We are not sure what it is
exactly, but there is something that feels good here and keeps us safe.
Many new businesses have gotten their start in Boulder, like Celestial
Seasonings Tea and Horizon Organic Dairy. Of course, Boulder is home to the
University of Colorado which has sent many astronauts and experiments into
space. Other prestigious institutions include Naropa University, the
College of Homeopathic Medicine, the National Center for Atmospheric
Research, the National Bureau of Standards, IBM, and one of Google's big
offices, along with many other up and coming start ups.
Baseline Road (the 40th parallel) runs through the center of town and the
surrounding mountains are powerful centers made of quartz rock. Boulder
lies just East of the Continental Divide with the fresh mountain water
flowing through downtown. The Indian Peaks Wilderness area speaks for
itself and there are hundreds of beautiful places to visit in the
mountains. This is where we call home!
Many people are attracted to Boulder because of its beauty and energy. We
would like to invite you to participate with us in a variety of gatherings.
Some will feature the amazing people who live here and others will be to go
exploring the invigorating lands around the area. Either way, we expect to
feel an expansion and exhilaration in being together with other
like-hearted souls.
We invite you to join us and we will post a schedule of our gatherings,
monthly. So, check back often!
Thanks,
Lee Cook and Tina Wood
